Fantastic little Cafe. Recommended by the visitor centre as “very dog friendly“, and that’s no exaggeration. The most dog friendly cafe I’ve ever been to with half a cold sausage and treats for our little girl on arrival. Humans are well catered for as well with great coffee and a good breakfast. Lovely atmosphere with locals mixing with us visitors and everyone friendly.

Thanks very much for the review. Glad everyone enjoyed their visit
What a lovely place for lunch! We would definitely go out of our way to visit again! Our dog was so welcomed and spoilt - lots of treats, including a little snack bag and lots of fresh water. Food was really good and everyone was so lovely! We even brought some delicious home made honey whilst there! Visit if you can 😊

Thank you very much. Hope you enjoy the local honey.
What a wonderful place ! The couple who run this dog friendly establishment are super friendly, welcoming and helpful - They never stop! The food is fantastic, proper local food, a great Ploughman’s and other selections and what a range of coffees (although I went for a Yorkshire cup of tea) We can’t wait to visit again soon! Thank you !!

Stopped here about half way through my coast to coast walk back in June and honestly look back at it as one of the highlights of the whole walk. The service was amazing, as the owner came and had a chat with us about local hikes and shared stories about the coast to coast and more. Couldn’t have dreamed of a better stop to take if you’re passing through Kirkby Stephen. It was so good that I actually went out of my way to visit it recently with a friend as we were revisiting some of our favourite coast to coast spots and it was still as good as ever, with the owner again chatting with us and making us feel as though we were regulars through the whole visit, would recommend to anyone!- Food

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch while hiking the coast-to-coast trail. Set aside the fact that the food was fantastic and the café itself was so unique, I have to comment on the man who waited on us. What a wonderful person. He was so friendly and nice and personable. He picked up on our American accents and even figured out we were from the eastern part from them. He spent time talking to us about our hike and how everything was going. I highly recommend stopping in here when you're in town.- Meal type

Brilliant little cafe, the food was great and the owners were really friendly. We took our golden retriever and they were very pleased to see him and gave him sausages and a bowl of water. Lovely ambience with a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area!

A lovely cafe whose owner is extremely welcoming to both customers and dogs. Our Springer Spaniel was completely spoiled. The food was great too!

We visited this cafe for lunch on our way home from the Lakes. I struggled to choose what to have as everything on the menu sounded so good! I settled for soup and a toastie which were both delicious and the portions were very generous.
My partner was very pleased to be able to get a sausage, bacon & bean sandwich cooked and presented exactly how he likes it too.
The owners were fantastic and took the time to chat with us and other customers and also made a fuss of our dog and another dog in the cafe which was very much appreciated.
This is a traditional style cafe and exactly what we were looking for. As I am coming down with a cold the soup was exactly what I needed and I wish I’d bought more to bring home!
Thank you both and I hope to visit again in future.- Service

One of our favourite places we found to eat. Very welcoming, great atmosphere, and friendly. Everything on the menu appealed to us. Really happy with our food and service. We bought some art that is available near the front door and there's other things inside for sale too. Love it 💜 we look forward to going back sometime.

We found this cafe while walking past it and managed to find one table! It was quite packed with people and the decor was really interesting. The food was amazing and I had the best sticky toffee pudding here without a doubt. The staff were really nice and friendly too.

Whenever I’m going this way on my motorbike I make this my coffee break or meeting place. The food is great and reasonably priced. The staff are amazing! So friendly and always welcome me and my biker buddies with open arms and a bottle of visor cleaner! Much needed after riding the local roads. I noticed all the four legged visitors getting a bowl of fresh water and biscuit too! Would recommend all motorbike riders to stop off at this awesome little local cafe.- Service
